The New Look of Downtown Newman Calif.,
Showcased By 2002 Fall Festival Parade
The Newman Fall Festival is now over, the venders tents are put away, the carnaval is packed up and gone, and by the view of some present, it didn't seem like as many people were at this years parade, this last sunday, as well as parade entries numbering less than some years in the past.   But most attending agreed that the look of the new downtown street was wonderful on the whole.
Several of the street names cast into the streets walk zones are breaking and cracking already, but in general everything looked wonderful.
This years activities in Pioneer Park were as crowded as usual, and there were more food venders this year as well as more arts and crafts venders.
One of the thins that I first became aware of in tthis parade is the existance of a new Dairy Museum here in Newman, The Gomes Dairy Museum
